Ancelotti speaks about El Clasico

Real Madrid head manager Carlo Ancelotti has cited that he is satisfied with the club’s performance following their 2-0 against Levante this weekend. The coach also mentioned that the players should not get ahead of themselves and must work harder for the important clash against Barcelona in the upcoming El Clasico match to be held on 22 March.Madrid managed to beat Levante on Sunday credit to Gareth Bale who scored both goals, the talented winger improved his game after a disappointing performance in last week’s Uefa Champions League last 16 match against FC Schalke .

This resulted in a lot of criticism for coach Ancelotti and he has been criticized by fans and the media for failing to pull out good performances lately as he failed to register a win in three matches and also failed to beat Schalke in front of home fans. The criticism ended up forcing Real defender Pepe to defend the coach citing that the manager had been a very  good leader at the club and also mentioning that it would be a disaster for him to be let go at this moment.

This win ended Real Madrid’s three matches run without a win and the result will motivate the club going to the next matches.Madrid displayed a decent performance especially in the first half but they dropped in the second half as they were no longer attacking Levante and did not press like they did first half.Real are still healing their wounds after a very poor perfomance that they displayed when they played the German Bundesliga side Schalke that beat them 4-3 in the second leg of the last 16.even though they did qualify for the next round thanks Cristiano Ronaldo who scored a brace allowing them to get an advantage on aggregate.

The La Liga based side will be more than eager to return back to the top of the table as they are now number 2 at the table after a slip that Barcelona took advantage of.This El Clasico match is likely to be a deciding match of the season, if Barcelona wins the match they will be top of the log standings and likewise for Real Madrid they  will lead the La Liga league table if they collect three points in this match. Ronaldo and Bale will be influential in this match and it is very important for Madrid that they stay injury and yellow card free. Ronaldo is back to his goal scoring form after he converted two headers against Schalke last week and he will be looking to beef up Real Madrid attacking options in the front.

Gareth Bale is another influential player in the wing and his pace allows him to whip crosses and even score. Luka Modric will be also important for next weekends match, the central midfielder has been off the field for a while and he is now back at the starting lineup. He played well this weekend and was also introduced as a substitute against Schalke and played well.Sergio Ramos is also back in the starting lineup and started the Levante match, he will be vital in the Real Madrid defense and the coach hopes that both players will be fully fit for the next weekends match.

Real Madrid are not competing in the Uefa Champions League this week so they will have 5 days to prepare for the match against Barcelona. On the other hand the Barcelona squad are preparing for the second leg of the Champions League match against Manchester City on Wednesday, that means they will have less than three days to prepare for the El Clasico. Barca will be focused on Wednesday’s game and the weekend’s game also so this will be a tough week for them and this  will require a lot of focus. Lionel Messi,Luis Suarez and Neymar Jr will be the most influential players for Barcelona in both the El Clasico match and the second league of the Champions League.

The manager of Barcelona will be hoping that his players stay injury and fatigue free going to the El Clasico, the Champions League match against Man City is also a crucial one but the club will be relying on their stars to carry them to victory. The El Clasico will be the most important and entertaining matches as both clubs are looking to get the three points and lead the log standings.
