Chiefs hope for a good start

Kaizer Chiefs hope for a good start as they get ready to start a new PSL campaign on Tuesday evening  . Chiefs will be visiting  the  2015/16 Premier Soccer League runners up Wits University on Tuesday evening at the Bidvest stadium.The Glamour Boys will be seeking to start this season’s campaign on a positive note to as they hope to improve and do better this year.


Wits on the other hand did very well last season, the club  managed to secure 2nd position on the league table.The “Clever Boys” will be the favorites on this match and they are a force to be reckoned with in this new PSL campaign.


Kaizer Chiefs defender  Tsepo Masilela said on the club’s website that all the players are ready for this tough encounter.


“I feel great, because we had a fantastic pre-season,” the left back said. “We played a couple of friendlies. We can’t say we are 100% in terms of game sharpness, but we are looking good – the team spirit is at an all-time high.”


“Wits finished second and their coach, Gavin Hunt, has won many trophies before,” commented Masilela. “They have quality players. We are aware this is the opener and everyone wants to start on a high. The positive is that we are ready. Everyone goes in the opener with the aim to start strong. We want to have a good run from the word go.”


“We don’t want to play catch up,” he added. “We want to be in the thick of things from the start. We have learnt our lessons and this time we are geared to have a good run from the start.”


Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Khompela is well aware of the task that lies ahead for him. The Amakhosi coach will be hoping to get a result out of this match.The match will start at 19:30 on Tuesday
