Liverpool attack almost perfect according to Coutinho

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho  says the confidence is high at Anfield following a great display of football on the weekend that saw The Reds demolish Leicester City 4-1 on Saturday. The Brazilian has confirmed on the club website that the win has boosted the team’s morale as they head to Chelsea on Friday.

Jorgan Klopp’s side have  many attacking options , skillful players such as Roberto Firminho ,   Sadio Mane,  Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho add  more offensive  value to the team .Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is  surely well aware of that and he will be seeking to keep these players at bay.


Philippe Coutinho did not start the match against Leicester he was introduced on the 76th minute but managed to come in as a substitute and influence the match.Goals from Sadio Mane, Roberto Firminho and Adam Lallana ensured that the Anfield side secure a much deserved 3 points against the 2015/16 English Premiership Champions.



“It was an excellent game, an excellent performance by the team,” Coutinho told the Liverpool website .

“Everyone played very well, we did what the manager asked us to do. Everyone was very committed from the outset and we got a great result against a great team.

“It was a great game, attacking we were virtually perfect, so it was a great game that gives us confidence.”

“We’re on the right track, we’ve started the season well,” the midfielder added.

“Of course we’ve dropped points, but the competition is very long [and] we’ve beaten teams that, theoretically, will be up there fighting for the title, so that boosts our confidence, and the fans’ confidence. That’s very important.”


Liverpool will be hoping to continue where they left of as they will be travelling to face the Blues. Jurgen Klopp’s side have won two  Premiership matches, lost one(Burnley, Arsenal ,Tottenham, Leicester) and have had  one draw  , Chelsea on the other hand have recorded three wins( Watford, West Ham , Burnley, Swansea)  and one draw .
