English Premiership giants Manchester United are preparing for the derby clash on Saturday as they seek to secure their fourth win of the season. The clubs coach Jose Mourinho mentioned on MUTV that he is getting his side ready for the big match against Manchester City on Saturday the 10th of September.
The Red’s coach also raised his concerns about the negative impact of the international break and how it will affect the team in preparation to the Manchester Derby.Manchester United have managed to secure 9 points out of three games and they will be hoping to continue with the consistency.
Jose Mourinho’s men have already beat Bournemouth , Southampton and Hull City, they now face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who have also won three consecutive league games.
“We keep eight outfield players and Sam Johnstone as the goalkeeper [for training],” said Mourinho.
“We are going to lose the others and we don’t know the way they train, the way they recover, the life they are going to have with their national teams.
“Some are coming back on the Monday before the Manchester City match but some are coming back on Friday. The day before Man City, we will still have Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia arriving.
“It will be a complicated process but we know it is like this when we have these players. And I would love all of the players to go because it would mean that everybody is being selected for their national teams.”
The Portuguese born coach also mentioned that all players(including players not selected by their national team) have been given some time off to rest.
“I give the other guys, who are not selected for the national teams, two days off,” he said. “And I give four days to Zlatan. At 34 years old, you need to rest.”
