PSV Eindhoven has booked a place in the UEFA Europa League courtesy of Georginio Wijnaldum who scored just eight minutes before the game ended in the Group E match that was supposed to be played two days before but was postponed due to bad weather in Portugal.
Good goals from Memphis Depay together with Luciano Narsing gave PSG Eindhoven a good start on Thursday evening but the lead did not last as Kuca and Amado goals helped the Estoril get back to the lead of 3 goals to 2.The game was then suspended after heavy rains with thye match being scheduled for Friday.
Estoril needed a win to stay in the competition so they did not waste time attacking as Kuca forced Jeroen Zoet of PSV Eindhoven to save that good shot.eventually it was the Dutch side that scored first as Depay made sure that he bags his third goal in third matches.The Portuguese side came back with a goal but the visitors sealed the match after Narsing utilized a pass from Wijnaldum to score for PSG.
The game was very unpredictable as Estoril came back again with a goal and almost followed up with another when Seba missed his chance.The home side continued to dominate the game but the game was subsequently stopped because of the heavy rains.The game was to convene on Friday with FIFA laws having to be applied as to how the game will continue come the replay of the match day.
The match was replayed on Friday which saw the Eredivisie dominate in the beginning of the first half when de Jong’s shot was touched away by goalkeeper Pawel Kieszek. The Netherlands based side managed to qualify as for the next round as the home side wasted a couple of chances ensuring that PSV Eindhoven secure their spot just behind FC Dinamo Moskva. The Dutch side will return to their next domestic match with confidence and motivation after the convincing win against Estoril.

The team has competed for the Bundesliga domestic league tittle consistently in the last couple of decades and has also participated in the European Championships over the last forty years.
PSV Eindhoven has also won the Johan Cruijff Shield nine times and once defended the Eredivisie tittle four times in a row.The Eredivisie league club once made world headlines in 2010 when they were humiliated by Feyenoord by 10 goals to nil.The club is rivalries with Ajax Amsterdam Feyenoord , the main rivalry however is Ajax as both clubs have competed for the domestic leagues since the 1970’s. Both teams have however not managed to win the domestic league tittle in the last couple of years.
