Second leg will be harder for Juve

Serie A champions Juventus will have to prepare harder for the second leg of the Uefa Champions League against Borussia Dortmund in Germany.This comes after the Italian club failed to get a convincing win against Dortmund as a result ending the game with a 2-1 win thus giving the German’s an away goal advantage.

It is without a doubt that the when Juventus travels to Dortmund things will be a lot harder and the side will need to prepare even harder if they want to beat the Bundesliga side at home.The second leg of the competition will be a mouth watering one as both teams will be looking to qualify for the next stage which is the last 8.

Juventus will return to the second leg hoping that Andrea Pirlo will have recovered as he suffered a hamstring injury during this game ending up being substituted, the club created a couple of chances when the first half began with Pirlo’s creativity and experience proving to be a challenge for Dortmund in the midfield.The team managed to score a goal as a result but things changed when Pirlo went out as it showed with Dortmund starting to dominate in the middle of the field.

As a result the Bundesliga giants managed to pull one back courtesy of Marco Reus who took an advantage from a mistake in the back by Juventus defence allowing the talented midfielder to score a beautiful goal that left Buffon helpless and blaming his defenders. Even though Borussia Dormund are struggling in in the German domestic league they are competitive in the European competition, they showed their quality in the first half when they dominated the match by closing Juventus down and not allowing the to combine passes.

The home team managed however to score another goal credit to Morata who scored past the Dortmund goalkeeper after Pogba delivered a quality cross to the box.The Serie A side missed a couple of opportunities in the second half,one being a good shot by Tevez which swerved above the post.Roberto Pereyra, who had been introduced in on the match in the first half as a substitute for Pirlo also missed a clear chance which was almost in but went just past the post.

Borussia Dortmund also missed one or two chances when Immobile was given an opportunity but fired it over Buffon goal post ensuring that Juventus seal the game with a 2-1 win. Borussia coach Klopp expressed his disappointment after the game citing that his side missed a lot of opportunities in the second half, also citing that the Juventus team deserved to win the game as his side failed to convert the chances,however Dortmund have more than a fair chance of qualifying for the last eight as they have an advantage of an away goal which will be useful at Dortmund.

Allegri the manager of Juventus is surely contemplating about the second leg as his team will need to keep a clean sheet in Germany if they want to progress to the next stage.The team will also need to score an away goal and keep Dortmund in check as they are an attacking side who are difficult to beat at home.Dortmund are climbing up the Bundesliga table as they have been pulling good performances lately at the domestic competition.

The former Uefa Champions League finalists did not start the domestic competition with good performances and this has resulted in the Dortmund side not being able to contend for the Bundesliga league tittle.However the club has been able to bounce back and has registered wins in their last couple of games courtesy,  Marco Reus has been a leader and motivator in the German side.He scored a crucial away goal in Italy against Juve which gives them an advantage going to the next round.

Borussia Dortmund are now looking to qualify for the next Uefa Europa league hence it will be vital for the club to win most of their upcoming domestic matches.The club will be also hoping to continue doing well in the Uefa Champions league,manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be impressed with the club performances in the domestic league but cited that the club can improve on their performances after a couple of mistakes  in the Uefa match against Juventus.
